ITEM 10332. "MAKE-DO"
BLOWN GLASS LAMP of unparalleled quality. Early 19th century
blown glass font wafered to a pattern molded cobalt blue stem
and "repurposed" with a later 19th century pressed
glass base. The age of the base and method of reattachment speak
to a repair in the late 19th or early 20th century. The piece
stands 10 1/8" tall as currently constructed and it is likely
that both parts were created at a New England glass house.
